A NEW SOCIETY FOR THE WHOLE SKIN RESEARCH COMMUNITY
The newly-formed Skin Research Society (Singapore)* is a not-for-profit professional society, established for the benefit of Singapore’s wide skin research community.
It aims to promote and advance knowledge and understanding of the sciences relating to skin health and disease, through education, advocacy and scholarly exchange of scientific information.
· The Society will promote and champion the pursuit of knowledge and high quality scientific research in skin health and disease in Singapore, and promote Singapore’s skin research internationally.
· The Society will promote the development of a culture of discovery, and to provide an independent forum for the exchange of scientific information relating to skin research.
· The Society aims to provide catalytic leadership to develop intellectual, strategic and financial support for skin-related scientific research.
· The Society will promote broad and responsible educational programmes for training future generations of skin researchers and clinicians, recruiting, nurturing, and mentoring the next generation of skin research scientists increasing understanding and shaping public policy.
