Skin Research Society Singapore (SRSS) 2020 Travel Awards

Deadline for submission: 1st February 2020

The Skin Research Society of Singapore is offering travel awards for early career researchers to attend scientific events related to skin research. This award aims to promote and support outstanding early career members of the society working in the area of skin research.

ELIGIBILITY
  • Early Career Researchers (ECRs): Full-time postgraduate students currently enrolled at a recognised higher education provider and Ph.Ds with less than 7 years’ post-doctoral experience (excluding allowable career interruptions). Non-Ph.D. holders not currently enrolled in a Ph.D. program may also be considered.
  • The applicant must have been a member of the SRSS for at least three months at the time of application.
  • Events must be related to skin research. Applicant to meetings and conferences must give a poster or oral presentation.
  • Applicants must provide a report of the event within 4 weeks of the conference end date in the requested format.

APPLICATION
 
1. A 2 page CV including the following:
  • Name of applicant
  • Current position (i.e. student, post-doc, research officer)
  • Institution
  • Supervisor
  • Education background (highest qualification / date of award / institution and current degree being pursued if applicable
  • List of publications
  • Grants and awards

2. A letter of support from the applicants' supervisor (one page).

3. A statement confirming eligibility for the award and the importance of the event for research or career development. A statement on existing funding available to the ECR must be included.

4. Details of the event: Dates, location, program, registration fees.  Estimated travel and accommodation costs.

5. A copy of the abstract submitted in the case of conferences and meetings.
 
SUBMISSION DETAILS
Applications must be submitted online through the SRSS website.
 
DEADLINE
February 1st 2020 -  Awards will be announced by 15th February 2020.
